Johnson & Chiligiris was founded in 1976 by Jim Johnson and Jessica Stricklin. Ruth Waller joined the partnership in 1987 and Paul Chiligiris joined in 1999. The firm currently consists of partners Paul Chiligiris and Jim Johnson. They are assisted by Associate Andrew Weatherford, Paralegal Pam Long, and a legal staff with decades of experience.
The firm offers a broad range of legal services from representation in all types of cases, from accidents to the preparation of wills. Each lawyer at Johnson & Chiligiris is licensed to practice in all Courts sitting in the State of Illinois.
Each lawyer at Johnson & Chiligiris lives in Decatur Illinois and is committed to charitable organizations in the community. Paul Chiligiris is especially active in the Decatur County community and dedicated to a variety of issues and charitable organizations in Macon county. Paul has done charitable work for the Decatur Bar Association, providing free legal services for clients of Land of Lincoln Legal Services and providing free telephone advice during the Bar’s annual “Law Week”. He has also frequently appeared on WAND-TV’s “Ask The Expert” over the past 17 years.
Paul has served as the President of the Annunciation Orthodox Church for the past five years. He is also a board member of the Decatur Youth Hockey Association and has coached children in that sport since 1988. He is currently assisting the Baby TALK board in their annual Children’s Champions Award, assisting his wife Amy who is a board member. He has been a past board member of the Decatur Area Young Business Professionals. He has also assisted his wife Amy in her charitable activities as a board member for Holy Family School, Baby TALK, Race for the Cure, and the Decatur Public Schools Foundation.
